Adult Choir Selection
The Adult Choirs
The adult choirs provide musical leadership and perform choral repertoire at worship services and other events from September through June. Their common goal is to serve as instruments of worship, endeavouring to bring the greatest possible level of personal growth and achievement to their higher purpose.
The Sanctuary Choir is the principal adult choir. It sings at the 11 a.m. service, as well as presenting special music during the Christmas and Easter seasons. Rehearsals are on Thursdays from 6:30 to 8 p.m. from September to the long weekend in May. While the Sanctuary Choir is open to anyone, potential members should first meet with the Director of Music to assess placement and to discuss expectations.
The Chamber Choir is an auditioned, smaller ensemble that sings more demanding repertoire. It sings regularly at the 9:15 a.m. service, and rehearses on Thursdays from 8 to 9 p.m. Members sing in the Sanctuary Choir as well.
