Located in the heart of Toronto, Timothy Eaton Memorial Church is uniquely appointed to make your wedding the visual, musical and spiritual experience you have always dreamed of.
The bride arrives at the circa 1910 stone porte-cochere and enters the cathedral-like setting along the thirty-nine metre (127 foot) centre aisle, which can be decorated with candelabra, ribbon and flowers. The crimson-cushioned, dark oak pews will accomodate as many as 800 guests, although most weddings in the sanctuary have been between one to two hundred guests.
Smaller weddings with fewer than fifty guests can be held in the more intimate chancel area in front of the altar, in the glow of jewel-toned light from the brilliant stained glass window, a reproduction of the famous painting, "The Light of the World", by Holman Hunt.
Completing the ambiance is the thrilling sound of the mighty Casavant organ, with more than 7,000 pipes. One of the largest organs in Canada, it is considered by many to be the finest.Eaton Memorial musicians and soloists fill the sanctuary with melodies of love and praise, bringing all the elements of the ceremony together in glorious harmony.
If grandeur and majesty aren’t quite your style, the East Chapel is ideal for a smaller, more intimate ceremony. Natural light plays on carved oak panelling there, to create an elegant yet inviting atmosphere.
Following the wedding service, take advantage of our picturesque grounds for photographs. The covered stone terrace is particularly elegant.
Our Church also has meeting rooms for large and small groups, to ample kitchen facilities and our building is wheelchair accessible. Read more.
